Precision Rimfire 22 Challenge April 8, 2018 |
Scores | 2018's first 22 Challenge match was on a sunny but cooler than expected day. This one was definitely challenging. Probably need to dial it back just a bit next time and streamline it to keep each squad to under 90 minutes. Scores are posted to the left. Two people had mechanical failures, including Dicky's CZ452 that shed some broken bits (!) halfway through the match - not a fun thing. I was so busy today that I didn't get any pictures other than the board below outlining the stages. There were several new stages and targets. The favorite was the playing card stage. 1 playing card at 66 yards. 10 shots. 1 point for each shot entirely within the card (doesn't break the edge) and not touching any other shot. We did have 1 perfect 10 on the card but most scores were in the 5-7 range. Thanks to everyone who came out today. Scores are linked to the left. Congratulations to tactical and overall winner Rob Ormond with a 72 (out of a possible 100). Second overall was Jeff Dennison in Varmint with a 67, and third was Dan Nosbusch in Tactical with a 58. Shooting from awkward positions in tactical makes this match even more challenging, so kudos to all three but especially Rob and Dan who did it the hard way! THANK YOU to everyone that helped with setup and teardown. None of the matches would be possible for me to do alone, and especially not this one. Course of FireVarmint division shoots all stages from the bench. [Tactical division positions in brackets].
* These stages are shot one shooter at a time, the others are all at the same time. |
