This is an 8-hour course on the application of low light-night procedures. This will be a shooting and manipulation class incorporating low light tactics and procedures, the pros and cons of handheld vs weapon mounted lighting systems. The use of them and manipulation, fixing malfunctions and reloading procedures will be incorporated.
Course start time is 1400, we’ll work through some particular shooting drills exercising the light systems, work out of the positions of the lights during the daytime so we will have a better understanding of the application when its dark out.
We will work through dusk and transition light into darkness.
Shooting drills from the holster, movement drills using the concept of moving while we still have ambient light and when we must use artificial lighting to navigate, identify, shoot and no shoot targets. Multiple target engagement, back lighting, front lighting, shooting from cover with lights and how to encounter.
Understanding that the darkness is your friend and live by some of those rules when shooting at night and using the darkness as concealment. The class will adjourn right at 21:30.
Requirements:
This class will start at 2:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm.
We will shoot during the day then we will take a break for chow and resume until dark and will all be off the range at approximately 9.30.
