Alaska Tactical: Red Dot Handgun

ALASKA TACTICAL & SECURITY INC: RED DOT HANDGUN

This 1-day introduction course is designed to teach and refine the skills of shooting a red dot sight mounted on a pistol.  Whether you are new to shooting a red dot or just looking to perfect your technique. The material covered in this course will include pro and cons of a RDS system, stances, firing grip, zeroing at 10 yards vs 25 yards, the proper draw stroke to understand the ability of finding your dot, how you track your red dot under recoil, multiple target engagements, distance shooting, close quarter engagements using the red dot methods and methods other than the red dot system, using the recoil system to help drive the sight through a multiple target engagement, this is a shooting class!  We will not be going over any manipulation on the firearm.  

Requirements:
  • Participants must have a concealed carry permit, law enforcement or military identification, or a valid State background check.
  • Good attitude.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather, including a ball cap, closed-toe footwear, and ear and eye protection to ensure your safety.
  • 500 Rounds of Ammo.
  • Full Size or Midsize Handgun, Kydex Holster systems are preferred, outside the waist band, inside the waist band or Appendix carry.  
  • 4 or more Magazines, with magazine pouch.
